Travel and visa information

Travel to/from China has resumed to normal time and all covid-related travel bans have been completely lifted. The number of international flights, for instance, keeps raising and expects to reach at least 80% of pre-pandemic levels this summer.

Visa services have also resumed, and requirements have been recently relaxed for some countries.

For example:

- Visa-free transit: Travelers from 53 countries can stay in certain regions (including Beijing) of China for up to 144 hours (6 days) without a visa. For details, see: https://english.beijing.gov.cn/travellinginbeijing/144hourvisafreetransit/index.html

- Passport holders of France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia (newly added: Ireland and Switzerland) can benefit from a 15-day visa-free entry to China Mainland.

- When a Visa is needed, passport holders of some countries (such as US, Canada, UK, etc.) are eligible for long-term (10-year) multiple-entry Visa.
