The meeting venue is on the campus of Peking University. The registration will start in the afternoon of Sunday, September 4. The conference sessions will be arranged on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday morning and Thursday morning. Oral and poster sessions will be held as plenaries for the participants to be able to attend every presentation. The topical meeting will end at Thursday lunchtime, and then an optional lab tour can be chosen to visit the China Advanced Research Reactor (CARR) at the China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) on Thursday afternoon.

The language of the meetings is English.

The proceedings will be published in Physics Procedia.

Social events

The reception will be held in the evening on Sunday, September 4.

There will be an excursion to the Great Wall at Juyong Pass (Juyongguan Great Wall) in the afternoon on Wednesday, September 7.

The banquet will be held in the evening on Wednesday, September 7.

Laboratory tour

The lab tour will be in the afternoon on Thursday, September 8. The 60 MW China Advanced Research Reactor (CARR) is a safe, reliable and multifunctional research reactor with high performance. As a large-scale scientific platform, CARR is devoted to neutron scattering, neutron imaging, radioisotope production and neutron activation analysis. At present, the thermal and cold neutron imaging facilities are under construction.

Note: The participants planning to visit CARR must submit a print copy of their passport to the local organizer through e-mail (carr_tour@yeah.net) before August 8, 2016.

Accompanying person program

In addition to attending the reception, the excursion to the Great Wall and the banquet, two optional one-day trips will be arranged for accompanying persons: One is to visit the Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven on Monday, and the other is to visit 798 Art Zone and Silk Street on Tuesday. Student assistants will provide necessary assistance in transportation by taxi or subway and the visit to these scenic spots. If you want to take the one-day trips, please sign up upon registration on September 4.

ISNR Board meeting

There are two ISNR Board meetings during ITMNR-8. The first meeting will be held at 16:00 – 18:00 on Sunday, September 4, and the second will be held in the evening of Tuesday, September 6.
